I’m back with another weekly Sketch & Color Challenge. I tried all night last night to get this posted and I kept having troubles with wifi. After rebooting everything modum, router computer, etc. this morning we seem to have a continuous connection so here I am with this weeks Sketch and Color challenge.
Table of Contents
We are at week 7! This weekly sketch & color challenge was a bit deliberate, because I wanted to use the “x” punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch pack ! I have wanted to use the punches for a while and just haven’t found the right thing, so I decided to add it to a sketch to make it happen! Honestly, with a sketch that could be any shape! That is the beauty of a sketch.
Another favorite of mine right now is the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper (DSP), this is an online exclusive DSP and it has a hint of nostalgia with a rustic flare and it worked great for this weeks color palette.
weekly sketch & color challenge: Week 7 How To
- Cardstock: Real Red cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″
- Cardstock Layer 1: Mossy Meadow 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Patterned Paper Layer 1: Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper cut 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Patterned Paper Layer 2 : Traditions of St. Nick Designer series Paper cut 3-7/8″ x 2″
- All paper layers are adhered to the Real Red cardstock as shown in image below using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Linen Thread has been wrapped around the card front 3 times and leave long tales so you can wrap it and tie a bow when you add the punch element.
- “x” of the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack, two are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the one closest the the bottom is added using Dimensionals over the top of the knot of the Linen Thread which gets wrapped up over the top and then I tied a bow. Cardstock used: Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Cherry Cobbler
- Basic white cardstock cut to 1-1/4″ x 2-1/8″. I actually stamped the sentiment in Real Red Classic Stampin Pad and cut the cardstock leaving just about 1/8″ around the edge and adhered using Multi-purpose Liquid Glue.
- Final touch is adding some of the gems stones found in the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins pack
