Holiday Postage Update 2025: The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced a temporary price increase for the 2025 holiday season. These changes will affect Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select services.

As we step into the holiday season — full of crafting, wrapping, and joyful mailing — I wanted to share a quick USPS holiday postage reminder to help you plan ahead.

📦 Dates to remember:
🗓️ October 5, 2025 – January 18, 2026

💌 What this means:

  • About $0.40 increase for lightweight parcels
  • Up to $3.00 increase for heavier packages (Zones 1–4)

It’s always good to stay ahead of the rush and account for these adjustments when sending your handmade cards, gifts, and happy mail this year.

Sending Holiday Mail with Gratitude

Now before we sigh about one more seasonal to-do, let’s pause and remember what this time is really about — connection.

Even when life feels busy, we have the choice to focus on the gratitude and blessings that surround us. Each card or package we send is a little piece of our heart traveling across miles to someone we love.

This year, I’m especially excited to send my Christmas cards — just a short family update (not a novel, promise!) — celebrating the small wins and moments of joy that make life sweet.

Plan Ahead for Your Holiday Mail

A few quick tips:
Buy stamps early — prices can shift or sell out (I know, I know, this would have been helpful prior to the increase.) You now get to budget for what you do know.
Double-check shipping deadlines for USPS Priority Mail.
Set aside time in your planner to make your cards (you know I love that!) to write and address cards before the rush.

Because when we plan ahead, we create space for peace, creativity, and genuine connection.

Yes, postage might cost a little more this year — but the value of a handwritten note, a handmade card, or a package full of love is truly priceless.

Here’s to choosing gratitude over grumbling, joy over overwhelm, and always finding time to send a little love through the mail.
