I designed and made this clean & simple Hello card to enter the Freshly Made Sketches challenge FMS 534. The stamp set I chose to use is Nature’s Prints from Stampin’ Up! I really like the versatility of this bundle and it has really useful sentiments.
This is the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch 534.
I kept this so simple and I love all the white space, however I raised up the front card panel and sentiment with dimensionals to give it some depth. The colors used are Mossy Meadow, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo and a couple neutral elements; the section of the lattice sheets.
card instructions
- Basic White Thick cardstock – cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4″
- Basic White Thick cardstock, cut front panel 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Using abstract image from Nature’s Prints stamp set, stamp in the bottom left corner of the front card panel. You will stamp the image three times; once in each color. You will want to turn the stamp image so it does not look too repetitive (see image). Ink colors are Coastal Cabana, Mossy Meadow and Flirty Flamingo
- Take one sheet of the paper latice and cut one portion of the lattice work out to create a sort of band across the card. The piece is short, so I cut it toward the right side to adhere at the front card edge to look like it stretched across the whole card front. Adhere with multipurpose glue, you need very little glue.
- I choose a sentiment from the Nature’s Prints bundle “Hello There”, stamped it using Mossy Meadow on Basic White thick cardstock and die cut it out using the Stylish Shapes dies (second to smallest square shape).
- Using a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock, die cut the leafy stem die. I weaved the little stem into the lattice strip and used multipurpose glue to adhere the top to the front card panel.
- Take a piece of linen thread and tie in a bow and adhere to the mossy meadow die cut element with a glue dot.
