I’ll be using the Ringed with Nature bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Mini catalog July-December 2022
I have been wanting to play with this stamp sent since it arrived and something else always seems to be more important to do or get done. So I pulled it out for this Blog Hop to create this quick and simple Fun Fold card.
Measurements
- Soft Suede cardstock cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Basic White cardstock cut 5-1/2″ x 8″, scored at 4″ on long edge
- Designer Series Paper (Lovely Linen) cut 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Soft Suede cardstock cut 2-1/2″ x 4-1/8″, score long edge at 3/4″
- Basic White cardstock cut 2-1/4″ x 3-1/8″
- Sahara Sand cardstock cut 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Instructions
- Take the cut Designer Series Paper (DSP) and adhere it to the full font of the Basic White cardstock, covering the Basic White completely.
- Stamp design and sentiment on the small piece of Basic White and adhere to the smaller piece of Soft Suede, then burnish the score line.
- Review placement of where you want the flap to sit on your card front. So before you adhere the Basic White with DSP on the front to the Soft Suede card base, lay it out and see where to adhere the flap. You can make a little pencil mark at the top if needed.
- Next, adhere the 3/4″ of the flap making sure when you fold the flap over the front you have the right side up. Adhere the 3/4″ flap to the Soft Suede card base. The fold of the flap will be flush with the edge of the card base.
- Now it is time to adhere the Basic White card piece with the DSP showing on the outside front.
- Emboss and Die cut the tree trunk rings. I used three of them. Using my blending brushes I first blended around the outside moving toward the center using Soft Suede. Then I pulled in a hint of Early Espresso to create a little more texture and depth. Not too much I didn’t want to take away from my focal point on the flap. Determine arrangement and adhere to the DSP behind the flap.
- Finally, if designed decorate and stamp a sentiment inside as well. I simply stamped a sentiment.
If you like this card and want to recreate it, I’ve included all the products used to create this quick and simple Fun Fold card will be at the bottom of the blog post with easy links to my Stampin’ Up retail store.
