Easter Friends stamp set is the perfect stamp set for a simple Happy Easter card and the sentiments are fresh and springy! With it being the week before Easter it seemed appropriate to submit an Easter card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches – Sketch 530.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that I used to design my Happy Easter Friends Card.
Easter Friends Card
This card could not be more simple and sweet.
This card is a standard A2 card size in Crumb Cake cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. The layering cardstock is Basic White cut 4″ x 3 3/4″, then I used rounded the corners of the right top and bottom of the cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment and grass using Just Jade ink.
Blending brushes were used to first blend in every so lightly So Saffron through the middle portion of the layering cardstock and then I used Balmy Blue to blend in some sky on the top portion of the layering cardstock. I adhered this to the card front using Multipurpose glue.
The bunny was stamped on Basic White cardstock using Crumb Cake and again I used a blending brush to soften the cardstock.
Using a Just Jade piece of cardstock I cut it 5/8″ wide and 3 1/2″ long. Using the White Embossing powder I embossed the Happy Easter greeting.
I cut into the bunny from the left side and cut very close around the front paws so it would look like the sweet guy was holding the greeting. Put a tiny amount of Multipurpose glue there to hold in place then added dimensionals to the back of the bunny and the sign and added him to the front of the card.
Final step was adding some 2020 – 2022 Incolor Square Gems using the Just Jade and Bumblebee gems.

I hope you like today’s project. Bunny’s are extra special to me because when I see them I feel the love of my Mom extra strong. My Mom loved bunnies and had many of them around the house. My sister and I often give each other a bunny to remind us of how much our Mom loved us. Easter is a special time of year for many reasons. It is a time of opportunity.
