Hello to all my Red Daisy Craft friends. I am here today to share with you my card creation using Make It Happen stamp set for the Freshly Made Sketches (Sketch 527). Have you seen this stamp set before? There are so many great elements in this stamps set that hit home for me and I loved it from first sight and I am finally using it. Make It Happen is what I am doing today!

Make It Happen, Freshly Made Sketches, Sketch 527

I wanted to create a card that used some of the elements that felt like things I could share with my dearest friends. I’ve never participated in a sketch challenge before and this one seemed like a good place to start. See Freshly Made Sketches, Sketch 527. Click the link to view challenge page.

This stamp set can be used for so many situations: excelling in academics, a pick me up, a friend that is a teacher, a fellow crafter, and the sentiments are really versatile too. The image below is the the Make It Happen stamp set that I used to create my entry for Sketch 527 for Freshly Made Sketches.

How do you decide which DSP your going to use? I’m not sure I have a process. I was looking through DSP I haven’t used yet. Daffodil Afternoon DSP used the Very Vanilla that was favorable since so many DSP packs use Basic White. I love the creamy-ness of Very Vanilla and that just lead to a really soft and peaceful palette. After that, I picked out the coordinating card stock.

Color Selection

Next I decided which stamp images I’d use for the friend I am thinking of giving this card to is not a paper crafting friend. Therefore, I choose elements that will speak to her. After that, I chose the Ornate Frames dies, because the one die reminded me of the show Friends and the picture frame hanging around the peep hole on the door in Monica and Rachel apartment. It was all coming together.
