We are celebrating a birthday here in the Leyendecker home today, so I created a masculine card to celebrate my wonderful Husband David and it is true baby, “never lost when I’m with you”. Happy Birthday Love! It was perfect for the Freshly Made Sketches – Sketch 532.

He's The Man Designer Series Paper

My man has several beloved t-shirts that show up regularly in his wardrobe line up. There is one that caught my attention when we first met, it says “Get Lost” on the back. And, it still makes me laugh, because I immediately think, “harsh”!

My man is a man of few words and most likely wishes to have as little dealings with people as possible. Initially I took the message to mean “go away”, however I think now it is more about “getting away”. Either way, I’m fond of this sentiment and I am “never lost when I’m with you”.

I love creating things with my hands and teaching others how to create things, if you would like to know more about me and my purpose here at Red Daisy Crafts, check out my About Me page.

Masculine Card recipe and supplies

Base Card is Basic White Thick cut 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side.

Cut selected DSP background paper and cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamp image using same base color as DSP. Here I choose to stamp my image in Sahara Sand. You can the stamp to change the look. Adhere to card front centered.

The He’s The Man DSP pack includes a sheet of die cut images. Choose the images that you will use as the sentiment. The masculine card shown includes the pine tree and the circle sentiment “With you I’m Never Lost”

Now, cut a strip of Soft Succulent cardstock 3/4″ by 5 1/2″. And, cut a strip of Early Espresso cardstock 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, adhere to the top of the the Soft Succulent cardstock flush on one side.

I also pulled from the die cut page in the He’s The Man DSP an edge that looks torn, cut the length to 5 1/2″.

Then, I adhered that to the top of the Early Espresso DSP leaving about 1/16″ showing of the Early Espresso. And then, I adhered to the top of the card front.

Adhere the die cut pine tree to the card front. Next, Use dimensionals to add linen thread (approximately 10″). The dimensionals help to tack it in place while looping it behind circle sentiment. (Die cuts can be found in the He’s The Man DSP package, “with you I’m never lost”). Adhere to card front.

Optional: add additional sentiment inside.

Your masculine card is complete.
