🎄 Wrapped in Cheer – November Paper Pumpkin Alternatives You’ll Love
Today’s live was such a fun one, friends! I went live on my Red Daisy Crafts Facebook page and YouTube (as I do almost every Sunday) to dive into the November 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Wrapped in Cheer. And let me tell you… this kit is an absolute gem for Christmas crafting.
Paper Pumpkin always gives us gorgeous pieces to play with — but you know me — I can’t resist creating a few alternative ideas. I love stretching the kit, mixing in other Stampin’ Up! products, and using what you already have to make something truly special.
This week’s inspiration came from a stunning card created by The Pampered Stamper, and I couldn’t wait to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it with my own twist.
🎀 Products I Used in Today’s Live
While the Wrapped in Cheer kit gives you plenty to create with, I brought in a few extra supplies to elevate the designs and give my alternatives a fresh, elegant feel:
✨ Wrapped in Cheer Paper Pumpkin Kit (Nov 2025)
✨ Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP)
✨ Christmas Greenery Dies
✨ Basic White Cardstock
✨ Basic Beige Cardstock
The magic really happened when I die-cut the DSP using the Christmas Greenery Dies — those detailed leafy sprigs, pine branches, and berry clusters layered beautifully behind the florals from the kit. It added depth, texture, and that cozy Christmas charm.
Card #1 – Simple Portrait Card – Side Fold with Classic Christmas Bouquet
Card base is Basic Beige 5-1/2″ x 8-1/8″
DSP Layer – 4″ x 5-1/4″ (used Traditions of Christmas)
Tag element from Paper Pumpkin kit. Wrapped Linen Thread from the Paper Pumpkin kit around the tag at the top. Add to card front with Dimensionals
Add die cut mistletoe stem with rolled up glue dots to provide a slight shadow.
Die cut Floral Bouquet from Traditions of Christmas DSP (Christmas Greenery Dies) add with Dimensionals.
Fussy cut the Poinsetta, add with Multi-purpose Liquid glue.
Stamp Sentiment label from Paper Pumpkin Kit with Mossy Meadow Ink Spot with Dimensionals on right and a touch of glue on the left.
And for an extra touch add a bit of Wink-a-stella to the mistletoe element.
It’s simple but elegant — and it is definitely a card you could absolutely mass-produce for Christmas mailing!, just change up the elements and you could get 16 versions of this card.
Card #2 – Double Z-Fold Card
This is where the fun kicked up a notch, thanks to the inspiration I got from The Pampered Stamper.
Main card base – Cut a Basic White Thick cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored on the long side at 2-3/4″ (mountain) and 5-1/5″ (valley), coordinating DSP layers 4″ x 2-1/2″ (cut 2), then 4″ x 5-1/4″
Second card base – Cut a Basic White Thick cardstock 3-1/2″ x 9-3/4″, scored on the long side 2-3/4″ (valley) and 5-1/2″ (mountain)
For the Main card base cut 2 layers 2-1/2″ x 4″ and another 4″ x 5-1/4″ using a coordinating DSP (I used Traditions of Christmas and I used the box element from the Paper Pumpkin kit, which I stamped the wreath (stamped off) before adhering to the card base.
For the Second card base, cut 2 layers 2-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and one layer 3-1/4″ x 4″, I used the Traditions of Christmas DSP and for one of the smaller pieces I used one of the tags from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
Then cut two pieces of Basic White to layer on the top for the sentiment 1) 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ and 2-1/4″ x 3″. Stamp a sentiment as desired and adhere to the card front and inside.
Die cut a floral arrangement from the Traditions of Christmas DSP and add with Dimensionals and fussy cut the Poinsettia and add with Multi-purpose Liquid glue.
Using the Traditions of Christmas DSP as the backdrop and layering pieces of the kit florals, I created a multi-panel fancy fold known as a double z-fold that in the most beautiful way.
Inside and outside the card, the Wrapped in Cheer elements blend perfectly with the warm red-and-gold DSP.
I especially love how the soft blue florals in the kit play off the classic red poinsettias — so unexpected and so lovely.
❤️ Why I Love Sharing Alternatives Each Week
Every Sunday, I go live because I believe creativity should feel fun, relaxing, and do-able — not overwhelming. Paper Pumpkin kits give us such beautiful pieces, and mixing them with other items in your stash helps you get even more from the kit.
These alternatives are meant to spark ideas, help you feel confident using what you have, and inspire you to create cards you can’t wait to send.
